We went there for dinner a few days ago and it took them an hour to start serving the starters. They looked really busy, thus we expected them to inform us about the waiting times. After they missed one meal we ordered, we agreed to share between us (lets put it on the some sort of misunderstanding of our accent). Also, the garlic oil from the menu didn't have ANY garlic in it. Staff wasn't welcoming and kept saying our food is coming shortly, until we insisted we were given an exact waiting time. We had three different main dishes, but all of them had the same vegetables in the plate. Just imagine salmon, curry and beef steak, all three served in the same manner. That tells me that you either want to save money or your chef lacks inspiration Or even worse - both of them! Also, portions were quite small in size for the price they asked. Not impressed with the bistro and it is definitely overrated!P.S. And the rice was dry!!!
On a family member's recommendation we stopped in last weekend at the Buell St Bistro and were not disappointed. The dinner specials were terrific. My husband and I had one of each. Andrea, our server, did an excellent job. We'll definitely be back.
A great spot to eat in Brockville. Well worth making a reservation if you are passing through and want to avoid the chain restaurants by the highway, and definitely a place to eat if you are staying in town. We all enjoyed the seafood pasta - a generous portion with lots of great fish and seafood in a delicious cream sauce. Many other dishes looked good too. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the service friendly and professional. Highly recommended.
Had a wonderful dinner here in late September. Staff are knowledgeable and polite. Excellent service and good food; I had seafood thermidor and my wife had steak. Great downtown dining.
We've been here a few times now and it's hands down our new favourite place to eat. The food is amazing! YOU MUST EAT HERE!
