Go their every year to get my fishing license and gear. I have not had a bad experience yet. The staff their knows there stuff and they seem to hire a lot of students in the summer. There garden/outdoor stuff is always in good supply, you can always get things like pesticide for your plants and they always have stuff on for low prices in the walkways.
I got a flat tire on the 401 20 min away from Brockville. I called them to see if they were open since it was a "holiday". They were and they got all my info so that everything would be ready for when we would arrive. Their service was quick and efficient. They even let me bring in my dog to the waiting room since it was so hot out today. Thank you for all your help today, you have no idea how much we appreciate it.
They have good product's in automotive and outdoor use. They have a good bike selection as well and some home care items. Overall a more general store besides automotive.
Stock numbers are constantly not up to date with their website. Call ahead and get the person on the phone to get the item into their hands before making a drive to pick something up. Pretty unreliable have had this happen on multiple occasions. Store is really starting to look dated compared to the newer canadian tire stores. Aisles tend to be congested and messy. New cash design is awful no flow to it forces everyone into a single long line.
Don't get me wrong.... I love their products BUT from a consumer shopper experience it is like going for a root canal some days... seriously, what makes management think the first thing I want to experience is being approached or chased down by an out-of-towner pitching some product or service to me!! Leave me alone! I just want to shop. And to add to that is the loud annoying recorded voice announcing specials. Then the checkouts... like cattle we are processed. Thank goodness their products are what I need.Had to go again today. Noon hour and 2 cashiers, 1, mine, chatting on the phone while serving me... then i had to ask for my receipt and cdn tire money. Top it off, guys outside trying to sell me stuff
